I am helping with the Estate for a good freind who passed away in January this year, and we've been going through his paperwork. We were quite surprised to find that there were 2 charges applied to his MBNA credit account that automatically came from his personal bank account. These charges were from AP9 Galleria ON, for 137.25$ and then another for 158.95$. In Dec, 2006 and Dec 2007. The money taken totalled 296.20$.

We also realized that MBNA had denied him use of his account since March of 2007, yet MBNA still charged him service fees of 11$ a month.

We are now struggling with trying to talk to managers at MBNA, but for some strange reason, no matter how many times we call we can never seem to reach a manager. We have sent registered letters, proper forms, and have been trying for months. We closed the account with MBNA, but we would like to get this money back so to help with his funeral expences.

I am very angry that these companies would take such great advantage of a crippled 83 year old man with barely anything to his name. I don't like the fact that these companies wont even own up to doing this. They need to be stopped once and for all.
