On March 2, 2004 I signed up for a trial with AOL. Later when I went to cancel my membership I noticed a charge of $9.95 per month exactly on the 28th. I've never signed up for anything else before, after, or during my membership. The charges were from AP9*SIMPLE ESCAPES. After calling my bank I was only able to get the last 2 months charges returned to my account. The previous charges were past the 60 day period. Calling the number provided on the charges was useless, which lead you around in circles before finally hanging up on you! Their number has changed a few times and their most current one is 1-877-836-6903.

What exactly was the conclusion to the lawsuit against MWI?

Simple Escapes Stamford CT Unauthorized Charges, I was told that a refund would be made in 10 business

After calling my bank and getting the hard facts, I called the number listed on the charges. Told them exactly what happen, and how those charges were unauthorized, and was told that a refund would be made in 10 business days.

The phone automated system you initially get doesn't allow you to talk to a representative at first. You have to press 1, then 2, wait for further instructions, then press 2(time to wait). You'll be transferred to billing (more waiting), then you can tell this person about the charges. Remember to get the name of person you spoke to and their ID number.
