Complaint Review: Aparthotel Duva Convention Center & SPA

We stayed at the Duva Aparthotel & Spa in Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca Spain for 10 nights.

It is advertsied as a 4 star spa and resort. Its more like a 2 star, and the spa, indoor pool and gym have been closed down for health and safety reasons. 

Within 12 hours of arriving, three rooms on our floor, including ours,  were burgled. There were no signs of a forced entry and the police felt the intruders must have had a key.  The only items that were stolen were expensive electrical items, ipods, laptops, phones etc; and no other rooms were touched.  It would appear to anyone that whomever broke into the rooms a/ had a key and b/ knew what was in there.

There was little done to try and apprehend or trace the culprits. We had a find my phone app on the ipda, which was showing the location of the ipda, the police refused to do anything about it. They never even botherered asking for any identification features of the stolen items.  They simply said'they would call us if the items turned up'  ?? how would they know they were our items  ? they didn't even write down our phone numbers, so how were they goiing to call us ...?

I would deter anyone from staying at this hotel, which in addition to being unsafe and insecure, was infested with ants; and peculiarly, staff don't work on Sundays...so its only really offering a six day week service.

It was no use complaining to the staff, they simply smiled and were really unhelpful. They obviously were used to dealing with complaints.
