Complaint Review: Apex Remolding - Henry Frank DelValle

I entered into a contract with Henry DelValle of Apex Remolding in April 03' to repair a wooden portico on the front of my house in Laurel, MD. Henry presented himself in Apex Remolding as experts in remodeling and small to mid range home repairs. Initially, I received the usual line that Apex was backed up because of all the work in the queue. That was acceptable for April through mid may, however, I began to worry when Henry wouldn't call back for weeks and when he did he would say your lumber order is expected in any day. It was July when Henry told me that they would be out in a week to do the work, but a phone call the next day to tell me that they had received the wrong lumber made me suspicious. I called a few weeks later to cancel the project and request my deposit but Apex/Henry bailed and never returned my call.

I tried going through small claims court, however, Apex is also very good at dodging the law as well as customers. I'm currently working with the state licensing board to revoke their license. I won't quit until Apex is unable to do this to another unsuspecting client.
