APlus.Net APlus.Net has been charging me for 6 months for a service I never received and is now trying to charge members of my family... Internet Internet .....

I signed up for APlus.Net as a web-hosting company in December of 2002. I signed up because they offered "free web hosting" if you purchase a web domain with them for $34.95. I NEVER RECEIVED a web domain, and never received a web domain. I had put this on my father's credit card, with his permission, and I wrote them many e-mails letting them know that I have never received anything and I will deny further charges to the card if they do not at least provide an explanation. I never heard anything from them again until the 5th of the next month, when my father's card was charged $5.95 for web hosting THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE!

This is now May of 2003. They have been charging him every month since then. We sent them e-mails, letters, made phone calls, and every time they said that it would be taken care of. Yet still the charges keep coming. The only e-mail I have ever gotten back from them was a horribly misspelled version of "what is your account number and name so we can remove you," but nothing was ever done. My father spoke to them last month, and they said that it was completely resolved and that there would be no more charges, and that everything could be refunded except for the $34.95 non-refundable domain purchase. Not only was nothing refunded, but HE WAS CHARGED AGAIN THIS MONTH.

And here is the REAL kicker...they not only charge his credit card, but they SOMEHOW FOUND OUT WHERE I LIVE (all the account information was through my father's residence, and I live seperately), and sent me a BILL IN THE MAIL! SO THEY ARE TRYING TO GET DOUBLE THE MONEY!

This is most poorly run, scam-artist excuse for a business I have ever encountered in my life. My father's credit is in excellent standing, and his credit card company has offered to go after this company, attack their credit ranking and initiate charges against them. We are also planning to file suit against them on various charges.

I wrote this report not only to warn innocent people, but to let everyone know that if you would like to contact me directly about this company, we can include your experiences/input in our case.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS...it could become the equivilent to signing your life away.
