This nightmare began after my son totaled a brand new car he had for 3 1/2 months.  The car was sold with 1035 miles on it, which was unfair, but when they spotted (me) a woman and an over eager 19 year old, they took full advantage. I couldn't get anyone to go with me, and I knew very little about cars. They were able to detect that and made it seem that I was getting a "steal". I called them the day of the accident, which occured in New York where my son was stationed. They avoided me and in the end I went to court. I couldn't afford a lawyer and attempted to get a Pro Bono one.  The lawyers would keep my info for months and then send a letter saying "we cannot take your case", without explaination.  They continued to charge me for the car. I paid for 4 months, until someone told me that I wasn't suppose to pay them.  By then, I had spoken to many, but no one mentioned that I shouldn't continue to pay. They repayed only 1/2 of one of my payments.  They threatened that this would go on my credit report and I didn't want that.  They charged me $1,958.00.  I had paid $3,000.00 to drive off the lot, including Gap Insurance for $495, which they canceled the next month, without informing me.  They also dropped me after his 1st accident. Another company began charging, this was after the accident.  I know that they are extremely unethical, but I can't get anyone to do anything about it.  I have reported them to many people, but again... the criminals are being protected and the victim just suffers. I trusted Daimler Chrysler to refer me, this was my first mistake.  In the end, Chrysler and Apollo forged my name and didn't inform me that this deal was finished.  When questioned, each company blamed the other and I never recieved any money, nor a new car.  The one they were offering was an older car, with 75,000 miles on it, even though the paper says they were replacing his car with the same exact one.  These are crooks who take advantage of the naive.  It's much more to this story, but it wouldn't be enough room.  I have been dealing with this since November 2003, but to no avail.  All of this was happening while I was recooperating from a serious surgery.  Thank you
