My problem, with the (AXIA) University of Phoenix is the money. I've attended college before, I know that pell grants that are awarded to you, are just that, awarded to you.How is it I have a pell grant (2 semesters now) each $5,000, but my take is about $1,000 in October, and about another $1,000 in March? Mean while when I check out  F.S.S.A I should have received the $5,000. I speak with n adviser who informs me that they charge $390.00 per credit, as of today I have 12 credits = $4,680.
My Combined Loans:  $11,128,..that's just my loans,....so how is it I only receive out of a Pell grant, NOT a loan about $1,000?...the left over amount from just my loans;$3,071 So who all is getting paid here, with money I have to pay back? So much so, they dip into my pell grant.

I'm not sure what all is going on here, but someone besides the school is getting money that I, and others who are in this program are going to be paying back for years.I also called a local college to see if I can start spring classes. Most if not all of my 12 credits are junk!

Some form of action need to be take towards this school. I would suggest an audit to start off with. The money is meant for education not for this company.

I might also add, these classes, and what they ask you to do, knowing your attending because you need to learn this knowledge, they act as if you should already know it, and the boooks that must be printed out, are not in full. You are only given chapters, and in some chapters ask you to look up things that are in other Chapters, that you don't have access to.

I am not sure you know how much you really should be getting back. I thought I had issues but I called it was explained to me and I got all the money I was supposed to get. You don't get it all at once. The loan year is for a year the pell is as well but are at set times. You get the money but only after they get it. ANd it is not always at the same time. So be patient and call your advisor.
