I was also victim of the Appera scam.

I ordered the free trial and gladly agreed to pay the S&H charges. I was aware that I needed to cancel the trial within 14 days to avoid any other charges. I called the 800 number 11 days after ordering to get a voice message saying the lines were extremely busy (probably upset customers) and the voice message gave me online directions on how to cancel.

I canceled over the internet and then received an email saying my account couldn't be found. I promply emailed back (within minutes) asking what the problem could be and received no responce.

I called the next morning to get a voice mail saying no one was in the office for Good Friday and would be back Monday.

Sunday night I checked my balance and had been charged the $90 that day. I called the office first thing in the morning on Monday to wait on the phone for probably an hour. Once I finally reached a representative (the same b*tch everyone else has been writing about), I got a very cold responce.

I explained the situation to her and she told me that on the cancelation email I had written my name wrong. I wrote "Matt" instead of "Matthew". I questioned this and she immediately told me she couldn't talk to me anymore. I began to ask her another question and she hung up on me. She didn't even give me a chance to defend myself!

I then filed a report with the BBB only to notice they have an 'F' rating and don't respond to most of their complaints. I guess I am going to write off the $90 as an expensive lesson, but I'm not happy about it.

I encourage everyone to stay away from this product. I have never imagined such aweful customer service, I am confident they will not be around long.
