Complaint Review: Apple Vacations

     Apple steared us to Secrets Capri.  Bet you did not know thst Apple Vacations is owner of the Secrets Resort Chain.  They (APPLE VAVATIONS) wants their resorts filled at any cost.  Secrets Capri would have been OK if our reservations for a Ocean View Room with two double beds had been honored.  It was not!  Instead we were shunted to a lessor room and when we complained we were told that since it was a holiday and very busy -no rooms available until Monday, 5 days away.  Also, Secrets Capri is billed as a 6 star resort but in reality a 4 star or lower.  Hence our complaint of being steared.  Our request ,since we were celebrating our 50th, a once in a lifetime event, was to be booked into a top notch resort. So, not only did we spend 5 days in a lesser room but our entire vaction was spent in a lessor resort.  Not only that, we paid high dollar for our accomodations, higher then most who recieved the lessor room that  we were forced to stay in for 5 days.  This was not a 4,000 + vacation but a substandard substitute knowingly booked by Apple Vacations with full knowedge that they were stearing us to Capri at more then full cost.  Oh and yes, let us not forget that on the second night, even using bottled water, we contracted Dysentary.  Since we only ate in Capri Restaurants, it was a simple task to track the illness to one of their food service locations.  So,my advice, check your locations carefully when you book through Apple Vacations or book through another agency.
