NEVER, NEVER, NEVER pay your Applied Card Bank bill in full. This (and several other) high-risk card issuers depend on the finance charges on your unpaid balance as a HUGE portion of their income.

If you pay your bill in full, thus denying them the opportunity to assess these finance charges, they will put up to a 14-DAY HOLD on your available credit, in an effort to inconvenience you, thus discouraging you from making full payments.

If you are left with no alternative other than using these high-risk creditors as I am, beware of this practice. If you anticipate a large expense, make sure you allow for the fact your entire payment may be held for up to 2 weeks. If you don NOT anticipate a large expense, do as I do, and go ahead and pay it in full, just to deprive them of the finance charges. It's a crap practice on their part, but they outline the "right to withhold credit limits" in their brochure.
