The salesman lead me to believe I was dealing with Apex Alarm not APX Alarm Solutions out of Utah.  Then he installed a residential system in my business  instead of a commercial unit.  When I sold my store, the buyer tried to get insurance on the inventory and was turned down because the system was not acceptable.  He had to get another alarm company to qualify for insurance on the store.   Apx refused to cancel the contract even though they installed the wrong unit in my business.  Also, the salesman told me the contract was for 3 yrs.  The fine print says six years. We suggested they could add the two years left on that contract to our home contract and we would gladly pay for it but they refused to do that.  They insist on my paying for a contract that isn't in use.  Plus the monthly fee is $44.99.  Apex Alarm is only $12 a month for monitoring. The balance of the contract was $800 now they are trying to collect $1200. Be sure to do your home work if you are in the market for an alarm and make sure the company isn't connected to APX Solutions or Vivint.  They may have other names as well. If the company is out of Utah, BEWARE.
