I purchased my home security system May 23rd 2007 from APX alarm. I should have know right of the bat this was a bad idea. The sales people were very pushy and required a signed agreement that day with insulation that day.

I was just informed that my account was sent to collections and they canceled my account and stated that I owed about 400 dollars to finish up the remander of my contract with Castle Rock. They Called me in January and told me that my credit card has expired. So i provided them with a new one. At this time on May 26, 2009 I recieved a letter saying that my account has been sent to Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates LLC for Collections and that my account has been closed with Castle Rock.

I then called the number that was provided on the letter that I recieved in the mail. After sitting on hold for over 20 mins they transfered me to the collections department and they did not have any record of this transaction. They also did not help me at all.

I called the number a 2nd time and talked with a Representative at Castle Rock and was able to find out that no one has my account at the time. So basically the Rep told me that I am not able to find anything about this which is going to hurt my credit score on this collections.

What type of business runs this way? Not one I would want to work for. I do not understand their business practices. After searching on the internet i have found out i'm not the only one that has had this problem with APEX, SAI and Castle Rock.

The Rep informed me that I should of called the company to make sure everything was being charged correctly on my account. How in the world am I supposed to do that when my contract has changed hands 3 different times in less than 2 years. The original contract was with APEX Alarm, then sold to SAI and then Sold to Castle Rock Securities.

Why would anyone want to entrust the security of their family and home to a company with such poor business practices?? I'm willing to take any legal action to bring this company down and see to it no others are taken by their scam.
