Although Aquafuzion is not partnered with Covenant Filtration their business styles and etiquette are virtually the same. Like Mrsdjb, I too, experienced many of the same things she did.

I was promised at training that I would receive $2280 per month if I ran 48 "qualified" demos. Qualified demos meaning that I stayed at least 1.5 hour, both husband and wife were present and called three times to check in at the office (once when I got to the house of the potential clients, second during the consumer reaction report and last when I was trying to close the deal).

48 demos are impossible to fulfill and since I had been there not one single person was ever able to make 48 demos in a single month. The closest I had ever personally heard someone getting was 37. 48 demos were impossible to fulfilled also because there were times when people canceled and there were no backup appointments.

I also had problems with my check. When I expected to be paid on Saturday after 3 p.m they would always say that there was trouble with the finance company. I once waited an entire month to be paid on ONE install. It seemed that the company was insensitive to the employees.

I once had an incident where it was hailing down rain and could not see anything in front of me when I called my sales manager and told him that I thought it was to dangerous for me to continue. He informed me that if I stood up the appointment that it would cost me a $50 burn fee.
Also one of the most important and unbelievable things that I encountered during my employment at Aquafuzion was the gas card giveaway.

Aquafuzion has their dealers go door-to-door asking for potential clients to answer a quick water survey. Once the survey is complete and the dealer has the potential clients phone number and address (the survey is irrelevant) the dealer then takes it back to the Sales manager and the sales manager gives the information to the telemarketing department. The telemarketing dept. then calls the potential client to the point to where several of the potential clients have said is harassment. So they call and call and call until you agree to have a "free water analysis" if you say you are not interested they wait a few weeks and try again. Also did I mention that there is NO gas card giveaway?

Now I'm not saying that Aquafuzion is a scam but would you do business or work for a company like this if you knew the facts?

Good Company? Don't Know.

I started with Aquafuzion in October of this year. I went through their training. Halfway through the training, half the class dropped out. They did not like the hours and did not like the door to door, face to face aspect. I had never done this type of job before but I felt that I could do it.

One of the big parts of this job was generating leads through carding. Carding is basically going door to door asking people if they want to take a quick survey on water quality and then enter them in a drawing for a $250 gas card. You are supposed to get paid $1 for every card you turn in. And I am sure that some offices are pretty good about this. The one I worked out of, I never saw a dime for this.

I walked off the job in frustration after a month. I knew that their whole $2480 a month was BS when I started. They wanted 60 demos to qualify for that. Since they have out several days a week carding, no way that you are going to get 60 demos in a month.

I did not see that as a big a deal because the commissions would make more than $2480 a month. But to make sales, you have to do demos. I was stuck with a terrible team leader. While all the other reps were going out in a van with canvassers, I was stuck with a team leader who had his own appointments and would put his team out to card. The day I quit was on a wednesday. The we were supposed to get our money for carding the previous Friday. It was not much for me, about $15-$20 bucks. There was a special meeting and our boss did not show up. I had no gas in my truck and absolutely no money. Not one dime. I had desperately been wanting, needing those $15.

The following Monday I had to ride my motorcycle on a cold wet day to work because it had gas in it and my truck did not. I had been there three weeks and I understood that since I had just made my first couple of demos, I was not going to get a sale right away. I had been counting on my carding money to carry me through as far as gas.

Monday the van goes out, my team leader takes me carding. Now I am starting to get frustrated. I am not doing demos and I have not been paid one cent for carding and now the low fuel light on my bike is flashing. I go and ask my boss about my carding money and he says, "We get that on Friday." I said, "I am talking about last Friday's carding money." He says he will look into it.

I decided to tell myself that it would be taken care of the next day. Just to feel better. The next day I arrive for our daily morning sales meeting and everyone already has six or eight demos. A couple have sales. I had my wife drop me off at work because I did not know if my bike would make it to work and back. We leave the office and instead of going with the van, again my team leader says we have to go card. My boss conveniently forgot about my mentioning the carding money the day before.

My team leader takes me out to the neighborhood I was going to card and I tell him I am not carding. My exact words were, "I am not doing demos and I am not getting paid for carding so what the **** am I doing here?" He said, "That is what we do."

He says to do that street for a couple of blocks and call him when I got done. I walked home. A month and 3 days and did not get a single cent. I am sure there is money to be made with Aquafuzion, but not if you do not get to sell anything. And the kicker is, all it would have taken for me to stay was $15. That's it. 15 lousy bucks.

Aquafuzion: A good company

I have only worked at Aquafuzion for a short time, but have been able to make 15 demos in only one week. You are given set up demos but are also responsible for making some of your own appointments. This is all explained in orientation. Many people see the dollar sign and ignore that this is a 7 day a week job and you will work long hours if you want to make quota.

At Aquafuzion you are your own boss. If you did not make your quota of 45 you only get your sells money. The quota is now 60 because to many people were hitting there 45. I have had no problem meeting 60 quota, getting credit for them, getting paid for them, or making my sells!

Aquafuzion has been a wonderful company in my oppinion. I enjoy my boss's and my job. There are currently 6 sells rep's and 4 out of 6 have met there quota this month. Please remember quota has been raised by 15. If we can meet more than the Lubbock office has to than 45 is not impossible.

The fee for standing up an appointment is reviewed in orientation as well as quota. If you are told what you have to do, and you do not do it, than it is not the company's fault you were unsuccessful. Orientation is set up for this exact reason! If people would pay attention to Aquafuzion's class they would know what to expect and then maybe they will not feel ripped off.

Thank you

A few months ago I filed a report aganist Aquafuzion's Lubbock branch. since then I have rejoned with the company starting in the Amarillo branch. It seems that my opinions where more so directed towards the distributor, who is no longer with the company. The company does offer opportunity to all of its indepedent contractors. I apologize if my comments had any negative impact on Aquafuzion. - Brenda Lubbock,TX

Although you have heard it before Brenda the "finance part of the deal makes a big difference." I understand your frustration of not getting funded on a deal the same day. But as stated before you have to have your customers verify a deal to get funded on it, as well as making sure all of the information is correct. I myself have been on every single one of my installs and completed at the very least 48 demos every month since I have been here. How many installs have you been on, as a matter of fact how many times have you gone the extra mile and set up any of your own demos. You may think it is a scam but I myself have made my way up the ladder and will be opening my office this year. Again, give the extra effort and you will have the opportunity.

Door to Door sales?

I started in March with this company as a water tech and was promised 2280.00 for 48 water tests my first month I exceeded the 48 and made more than 2280.00. As for demos its nice if both husband and wife or present but they do not have to be. Now as for the three calls during the demo it is to make sure you are actually doing a demo and to give us infomation to help you with it. I believe the month long problem you had with you ck was pretty much your falt I believe the system was installed in your dads home and he actually did not own the home so you had to get the paper work changed and it took you not aquafuzion a long time to get this done. Lets talk about Burn Fees I have been with aquafuzion 9 months now and have never known of anyone getting a burn fee. I was the sales manager at the time of your incident you called me I never told you I was going to charge you a burn fee if you did not go to your appointment in a storm in fact I called your appointment and they advised the weather was to bad for you to come so I advised you to seek shelter till it was over. I know the facts if you work hard and are self disciplined you will succeed at aquafuzion. In nine months I have worked my way up from the bottom starting as a water tech and will be opening my own franchise in January. I wish you the best Brenda but lets put the blame were it belongs and I think we both know were that is.

Great Opportunity

First of all...I am a college graduate with a B.S. in Business and minor in theology. I worked at UPS for 7 years in Oklahoma City prior to working for Aquafuzion. I joined Aquafuzion to have a supplemental income to provide for my family.

It was very clear during training my independent status and the requirments to receive our base pay of $2280. I was required to complete 60 water tests vs 48 water tests. I continued to work at UPS the first 3 months I was with Aquafuzion working nights from 2am to 10am 6 days a week. At the conclusion of my 1st 30 days, I had fulfilled my contractual obligation and received full compensation for my work despite working nights for UPS.

Since then, I have witnessed many independent dealers receive their guaranteed pay. Although, there were times that appointments reset or canceled, Aquafuzion booked more appointments towards the end of the month to help us fulfill our water tests.

During training, we were asked to put on a number of practice water tests with friends and family and at no time did Aquafuzion ever contact or try to obligate any of my family into purchasing any product.

Also, I have been working with the finance companies for the last 3 months and there are occasions when the company does not get funded for a sale because either the finance company can not verify with the customer, installation is not complete or paperwork was not originally completed correctly by the dealer. These issues delay funding to the company which in turn delays bonus disbursements to our dealers.

It's funny how it's always the neagative people who are out of a job that complain about their situations. I'm sorry the two above happen to be in their respective situations.

By the way, I have hand delivered the gas cards to the last two winners in the company (Kay Ratliff and Dora Arredondo). Also, the IRS and the Immigration have nothing to do with the labor laws.

I have since resigned my position at UPS and I have steadily progessed through Aquafuzion's promotional program and I will be opening my own distributorship for FREE November 1, 2007. What other company will provide you all the tools for success and then just give you a franchise?

If it seems too good to be true....

I was in need of quick money and made the mistake of believing the ad about the great pay as a customer service rep, but after the first day of "training", I knew that it was a ripoff. When asking questions in front of the class such as "when will we be filling out our w-4s for income tax or the I-9s that are required by the Immigration Service", the instructor quickly called a break or changed the subject.

I called the Labor Department in Oklahoma City and they said they had had their eye on them for quite some time, (many complaints had been filed) but because everyone who had been hired had signed the stack of papers put in front of them which included one pretty much waiving any right to pay (You're considered contract labor), they couldn't catch them.

I also called the Immigration Department and the Internal Revenue Service. I know that they are in violation of at least these laws.

Anyway, the people who own and run this office seem friendly, but they are con artists. They make money off of your desperation. You will be asked to give them a list of family members who might be interested in "better water" and they will harass them with sales calls.

Lucky for me, I saw the signs and bailed. Unfortunately, there were single mothers in that class and others who couldn't afford to spend their last dollars on gas going around to tout a product that they may never be paid for selling. It's a shame and someone needs to put a stop to it.
