Pump #2 failed in the AquaHot unit in my motorhome less than 1 year old. The service tech who replaced the failed pump showed me the new pump sent as a replacement. He held both side-by-side and and showed me why the first failed. The exit pipe is about the thickness of a pencil. The replacement pump has a pipe about 3 times that size. It's easy to see that the poor design puts a strain on the pump and will cause it to fail. The tech told me he has replaced many - and that the inferior pump WILL fail. He told me that he replaced 4 pumps over a month for a customer. He said the owner was LIVID! Who can blame her? The tech told me AquaHot is difficult to work with and that they remain in denial about the issue .

I contacted AquaHot after reading that some RV owners have successfully obtained replacement pumps to have on hand for when the badly designed ones fail. I wasn't one of the "lucky" ones. In fact, I was told, too bad, you're out of luck. I was graciously given the option to buy new pumps! Can you believe it? Run from AquaHot. Go with Oasis. Far more dependable with much better customer service!
