Aqualife, Aqua Life Water Filter - Water Purifier System RIPOFF Brooklyn New York
Aqualife came to my house to provide a free water test.
Of course, the result of the quality of the water showed that I should have died 65 years ago.
I could survive this water, but I coudln't survive the pressure from the sales person who was working with me. He promised me everything that you can possibly imagine a water purifier to do. Best of all, the price was incredibly low - only $200.00 at the point of the test and a little bit more for the filters after delivery and installation.
To make me feel more comfortable, he promised me a 30 unconditional money back guarantee. Guess what? After I made my payment of $200.00 the price for the additional filter turned out to be another $1,600.00 (yeah, right.. just a little more).
My children came home and did they own research on the internet about this company. They found out that an absolutely identical system from Aquasana cost under $200.00 (complete). Similar reverse osmosis systems can be purchased at sears between $300 -$375.00 (also complete). Now I understood why they distribute their product only by door to door sales personal. This company brand doesnt exist anywhere.
Before they delivered the system, I contacted them to get my money back, as this was obviously a bad deal. They threw me around like a play ball from one representative to another for 5 days. The last representative I spoke with told me that they are not going to give me my $200.00 back and told me to contact his lawyer. I asked what the contact number for his lawyer is and he hung up the phone.
I am a 79 year old senior. I was hoping that with some clean water god will give me another few years to live. And you know what? Miracles do happen. Now I have a reason to live. I have new exciting things to do such complain to the Better Business Bureau in New York and Consumer Affairs. It is not about money to me anymore, it is about people who walk the earth making a living by ripping off elderly.

Some lady came to my parents house in Sheepshead bay Brooklyn NY and started scaring my parents that drinking tap water will cause a defect in Children and whipped out some kind of meter saying how bad tap water really is. I told her she is full of crap and my dad pushed me out the door (i was at the point of showing her the door). I come home later that evening and see a reciept for $1600 dollars. I couldn't believe my parents were so gullible. I talked them into canceling. The company refused to cancel and persisted on a "lower version of the system" which cost about 5-600 bucks i cannot remember. They were lucky my parents refused to take me to there Office Somewhere on Avenue O or Mcdonald ave or something. If I ever made it there somebodies head would go right through the drywall.
