I was left a voice message by Paul Epstein with this company, and was promptly handed over to a female when I called back (no name was given).

She told me that ARA was contacting me to work out a settlement on a credit card debt that is 12 years old. She told me that a letter had been sent by attorney Mark Farmer to two old addresses and since I never responded, they were going to be filing a judgement against me. I informed her that I had never received anything from them, or from the attorney, Mark Farmer, and this was beyond the SOL and that I had actually called my Attorney General years ago to have collections stopped.

She then went into detail about how I could pay the settlement amount, and she could probably get that amount reduced even more, but I would have to pay the full amount and no payments would be accepted. I told her I am not working and am on SS income alone. She asked how much my SS is, but I told her it was none of her business. She then got very snippy with me and started rushing through the conversation.

I told her I would be contacting my attorney and that they should not call me again. I shall wait and see what happens next.
