I was approached by two colleagues - both very reputable women, who told me of a "pie in the sky" opportunity to work for a great company with great products. It wasn't a pyramid scheme because everyone makes money is what they told me. All you have to do is pay $100 per month (actually you buy $100 per month in product) and you'll get checks for a lot more than that.

I purchased $1100 in product to "get started." The products really were good. My skin never felt so soft. But where they overpriced...yes. Anyway every month for 5 months I bought an additional $100 in product (oh and it was always more than that because everything comes out to either $97 or $112 - so of course I was always at the $112 level) but never saw any additional dollars, even though I was being told that I was moving up the chart on the team. I kept hearing about the two school teachers in Arlington who quit their jobs and bought a new house and blah, blah, blah. They only ever signed up two other people and look how successful they were.

After two months and $1300 plus dollars invested - I couldn't get anyone to sign up or purchase the products from me, but I did receive my first check, it was $15! With the urging (nagging/harrassment) from the colleague to stick with it and the "white mercedes" would be mine in a month or two, I did...and an additional $300 plus and three months later I said enough is enough. I'm drowning in products that no one wants to buy and I'm not seeing a return on my investment. Shortly thereafter I received a check for $25. I don't know if those two colleagues are driving their mercedes benz's yet because I no longer speak with them. But from where I sit, "Godspeed" is what happens to your money as it quickly dissappears. This is not a "team." The gold kit is not the answer to financial security. This is a pyramid scheme plain and simple. If someone wants to honestly sell beauty products I'm sure it's a great company just like Mary Kay and Avon, but SELLING PRODUCT is important - you can't just make a monthly $100 investment to move up the pyramid, as I'm a District Manager and for all of my efforts and title, I made $40 in six months!

Yes, in this business you have to work the business. You have to getyour product infront of people and have them try it and a lot of times it is a 90day turn around for them to buy it...Presentations & parties work best for me and in the middle i do drop offs. and have made $ with arbonne.

As an Independent Consultant who operates her business according to the Arbonne International policies and procedures, I'm sorry that you were hurt by an individual who hops from company to company and uses their products and compensation plan to form his own pyramid scheme. The upline individual of Team Godspeed and many of his leaders have had their consultant ID numbers revoked. Unfortunately, I see that this individual has now begun to represent another MLM company and I feel sorry for every one that he will come into contact with and those in that company who want to operate honestly and will have their reputations damaged by association. The way of doing business that you described is not typical or fitting of Arbonne teams. If you love the product, go to arbonne.com and use Locate a Consultant to find a new upline.
