Arby's RIP-OFF Called a customer a dumbass, mixed up orders, extremely rude staff Ogallalla Nebraska

We were traveling in Nebraska on July 31st 04. We stopped at Arby's in Ogallala. No one else was inside the resturant except the employees. As soon as we walked in, I heard one employee call the guy ordering through the drivethrough a dumbass because the guy ordering asked a question about what kind of sandwhiches they had.

We waited for about 5 mintues before someone took notice of us and took our order. Another couple walked in behind us after our order was placed and proceeded to wait for the cashier. While we were waiting, I saw a worker cough into this hands, picked up a pen to write with, and the proceeded to put my husband's curly fries into our bag WHILE picking a curly fry up with his hand and THROW it at another employee jokingly. My husband did not see this though and didnt want to make a big deal.

The other couple that walked in waited for the cashier for about 3 mintues and the cashier looked at the expectantly, was very rude, and then took the order but didnt take the couples cash! so their order was never placed! THEY walked OUT and told us " good luck with these morons".

Our order was wrong, my husband ordered chicken and they gave him roast beef. I wouldnt let him eat any of the curly fries. We get the SAME type of RUDE service out here in Utah where my husband is stationed.

ARBY's should look into getting some proper TRAINING for their employee's. I am also writing a customer comment card to the company about what we saw, and writing to the BBB. GROW UP ARBY's EMPLOYEES!

I'm so sorry to hear about your terrible service at Arby's. I guarantee you, as an employee myself (im only crew, hoping to be shift manager soon!), we are trained extensively. We must go through a book training each position at Arby's fully.

The way those employees were acting is 100% against company policy, the store should have posters all around behind the counter saying when and how you should wash your hands, how you should wear gloves when dealing with ready to eat foods, and how to treat customers with QF3. That stands for quality food, fast and friendly. The manager should be ashamed of himself for not providing you as the customer with great, timely service.

I can tell you if you come to Rockton, IL you will not be disappointed in our store. We follow cleanliness guidelines religiously, and we take the time to get to know our customers, somewhat personally.

Every Arby's should be like this, not just ours. Please put a complaint to DRM Inc.

I just wanted to ensure you that not all Arby's give bad service! I am the General Manager of an Arby's in Mississippi, we give the best service possible. All my employees are well trained before ever stepping food onto the floor to serve the consumers.

I have three Assisstants. At any given time at least one of my assistants is on the floor. I also have 5 shift leaders who are also on the floor. We have had to send people home for other reasons...but we always give the best service possible!

I think the incident that happened to you was a result of poor management! If these employees knew and realized they'd be fired for doing such things they'd never do them! It takes a Manager who cares and follows up and always stands behind his or her word!

What you should do is go online to the Arby's website. There you will find an area where you can write a comment for the store you visited! Also you should get the store's home office number. This can easily be obtained by simply calilng the store. In most cases they will give you the number. Nothing will ever change if you don't inform the right people of such behavior!

I am outraged to hear something like this happened to you. Where were the managers? I happen to be assistant manager of Arby's in West Virginia and I can ASSURE you that NOTHING like that has ever happened at my store, however, if by some chance it did happen, those employees would need walking papers IMMEDIATELY!!!!
I constantly stress to my employees to be professtional at all times when in uniform. Even if they are on their way to or from work, as long as they have that uniform on, they are to act professionally because they represent Arby's.
As for the unsanitary way your curly frys were handled, that is just gross negligence and incompitence!!!! When I hire a new employee, they are trained for a 2 week period. During that training they are constantly told if you would not eat it, don't serve it to someone else.

Again, I'm sorry for the way you were treated, just remember, not all Arby's treat their customers that way.

If you are ever in Bridgeport, WV, stop by the mall and you and your husband can have a meal entirely on me!!!!

Don't Stand For It

Don't stand for it. The ONLY thing these companies understand is when people refused to accept substandard service and walk away. If enough people do so things will change. Like the lady who still took the VW after the horrible deal and service. If people accept that type of service, what do they care. Let your feet do the walking.
