I Used to work for Arby's it all started at the end of January of 2005. I got a call two weeks after applying on a saturday and was asked if i was still interested in working for them i said yes he(manager) asked me if i could come in that day to start training it was all very sudden so i did i needed the job.

I started working there usually 7 hour shifts that same week about 3 or 4 days a week i Didnt recieve a work shirt from them till I had been there for about a month. I was trained by another employee who had been there for about three months while the manager was sitting in at his desk. As i was watching the back lady make the food so i could start helping her if she needed it she was not wearing any gloves to make the food and then they had me start helping i couldnt find any gloves so i had to use my hands. The only time gloves were used was when we saw the inspector coming and when i worked there it only happened once in six months. the salads that are supposed to be made fresh daily ya right they were only made if the other ones were starting to look bad. the old stickers were taken off and put new ones on. We very rarely go breaks or lunches and when we did get them they would take cell phones away from the other employees but not me i wouldnt stand for it we were given either two choices for the people that did smoke either on our break we had to pick between eating or smoking one or the other. I have so much more i could talk about but its just to much to type if your interested in more you can always ask me.

This is very sad! I am a general Manager of an Arby's in MIssissippi and I assure you not all Arby's are this way! I buy cases of gloves every week and my employees must always wash their hands and put on gloves after leaving the area, coughing, sneezing, or touching anything but food!

Food that is old must be wasted immediately. This food could cause someone to get ill! The only way to keep food fresh is to fix less more often. Then your waste is much, much lower! Dot dates do no good if you do not waste the food when the time is up!

These people need to be reported to the health department and to Arby's. Go to Arby's website online and leave a comment there! This is the only way to stop such business practices! Not only is this a bad business practice but it can and will cause someone to get seriously ill. it is your obligation to call and report this immediately!
