Hello, I have a 1994 Chevy that I purchased in Florida in 1997. I was advised at the time that due to bad credit, I was unable to get anything but Arcadia financing, which I agreed to at an extremely high rate. I made several payments to them then was behind.

They called and offered me a "payment deferment" to help me catch up. I accepted and to try to make up the shortfall, I paid a small amount extra each month. The loan was due to be paid in Full in August of this year, but the pay stubs showed that I am now making my last payment. I called Arcadia and spoke with one of thier reps, who adived me of the payoff amount.

I have mailed this to them and documented the call. Over the past several years, I have been late with payment many times but never more than 30 days and usually less than 10. Whenever the payment was over 10, they would call at all hours of the evening (latest I remeber was about 10 EST). The representatives would sometimes be nice, often abusive and insist on confirming information that they already had.

I am concerned now that I may be "backended" by them. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or find out if there are any fees that I am unaware of? Thanks. If things go badly, which I fully expect them to, I would love to get involved in any suits against this unscrupulous company.
