Complaint Review: Arcadia Grove Apartments

Bed bugs were found in my apartment, and rather than check all of the neighboring units the management decided to charge me and my roommate $1600 for pest control fees.

Before I threatened to get lawyers involved, maintenance would never respond, false eviction notices would be sent despite rent being paid in full days before the due date, mold continuously grows in the bathroom despite numerous cleanings and treatments.

The complex is right next to Western Michigan University, and is mostly made up of college students. These slums can be maintained because the management knows that most college students don't have access to a lawyer.

Furthermore, nearly every other unit I've spoken to has some story to share about the poor management at Arcadia Grove. False eviction notices, refusing to return security deposits despite no damage being present, theft without action by management, parking lot is rarely plowed well. I could go on.

In conclusion, don't live at Arcadia Grove unless you want to have an issue with management every other month and you want to lose your security deposit.
