My experience with Transouth has been everything but positive. After serious financial burdens, I had to surrender my vehicle. Payments were all being applied to interest. The best one yet, I sent a payment for 900.00, 71.00 went to principal. I was never going to get ahead with this company.

After having the vehicle picked up, I received a call from the collections branch, a Mark at extension 44068. He was extremely hostile and rude. I told him my intentions were to pay the balance after the lien sale and would like to set up payment arrangements. He declined and demanded payment in full.

I eventually hung up on him after he would not allow me to get a word in edge wise (so to speak). He immediately called me back and wanted to know why I hung up on him. Before I could answer, he stated that he would just refer the matter for further collection. This was the first contact with them after the lien sale. I just received notice in the mail yesterday regarding the amount remaining on the account.

What is wrong with these people? They are the most hateful company I have ever had to deal with. I also tried to as to speak to someone besides Mark, he said, "Nope, you got me." Nope I don't. Total jerks.

I can understand the feelings that the individual has regarding Mark. I've had some problems with him also. I purchased a'97 Ford Taurus in 2001. Transouth financed the car. The car was valued at a little of $7000.00. I paid over $17,000.00 for that car.The car was worth $4,000.00. In 2002 I had to have the transmission & the master cylider replaced.I had to continue to have brake repairs done, because air kept getting into the line.

The company that did the tramission work didn't wont to give the car back because he noticed how bad the brakes were and said that they were very dangerous. I would be driving and press the brake paddle and the car would not stop. The car was involved in an accident and was totaled. I owe a little over $1,000.00 to Transouth and have told them that I can't pay the full amount at once, but I would be willing to pay them. I told them that I did not want to agree to a certain amount and not be able to pay it.

Mark sent me a letter stating that I agreed to pay them $50.00 per month. I called him and asked him how could he send me a letter stating that I agreed to a term with them and I didn't. He told me that Transouth could do that.

I recieve a letter from him stating that had violated our agreed upon amount and that I had to pay in full. How can they get away with treating people like this? In no way am I trying to get out of paying them. Mark N is a very rude person. I called Transouth on 1/8/05 and spoke to a man and i tried to explain my situation to him and he didn't want to hear it. Can anytiing be done to stop them from being so rude to people? Do these people have hearts? People do have hard times in life, and I'm sure that they have hard times also.
