I am a single mother who for the first time in 25 years decided to purchase a new vehicle so I didn't have to keep paying for car repairs.

I bought a 2001 Daewoo in April of 2002 with only 16 miles on it.

Daewoo went bankrupt approximately 6 months after I purchased the car with the $1000 I put in as a downpayment. The salesman who sold me the car also told me the Daewoo's have Corolla engines in them, which was a lie. I started having problems with it within a few months of purchase. They charged me for the repairs. They knew the company was going bankrupt when I purchased the car but didn't tell me.

Now, less than two years later and under 50,000 miles, the engine without any warning what-so-ever overheated and went completely dead. The dealership will not honor the warranty I purchased with the car and I ended up having to return it as I could not get it fixed. Now I have no car and a bad rating for what should have been a good experience.
