Arctic Refrigeration and Heating, Inc. was contracted by Homesure Services, Inc. home service agreement company to perform diagnostics on my central air conditioning unit prior to Homesure authorizing repairs to the unit. After having a technician look at the unit, Arctic filed a fraudulent report with Homesure in an attempt (presumably) to have the entire unit replaced.

Arctic reported that the fan motor fell from the top of the A/C unit onto the condensing unit, destroying the condensing unit. The fan motor was actually intact, although not operational. The condensing unit was intact and operational. The only repairs needed to the unit was replacement of the fan motor.

Because of stipulations in the home service agreement, this claim was denied. After informing Homesure that the diagnostics on the A/C unit were false, they contracted another A/C repair company to assess the unit. This company replaced the fan motor.

Arctic has continued to insist that fees be paid by the consumer for the fraudulent diagnostics reported to Homesure.
