ArctiCold Refrigeration Failed to issue refund. Renuads Mills New Brunswick

Ordered a Dometic 2652 replacement cooling unit for a camper fridge (around $700 with shipping). Their price is an exchange price, so I shipped my old unit back to them in a shipping box provided.

New unit did not work at all when installed. Called ArtiCold and asked for a refund. Steve Cormier told me I had to talk to Matt (his brother) to get the refund approved. Matt approved the refund. After that I was dealing again with Steve.

Steve requested I ship the Unit back to ArctiCold. It took multiple phone calls and a couple of months to get the shipping box. I shipped the unit back in the box provided at my cost (around $100) and called about the refund.

Steve was initially surprised that I did not receive the refund. After we established that I did not, he kept saying each time that the refund will be issued later that day or next day. I kept calling repeatedly and was always told that the refund was on it's way, usually the next day. The refund never happened. I gave up calling after about 6 or 7 times calling long distance.

BBB case pending against ArtciCold.

Yes, I received the refund check in mail...1 year after the merchandise was returned. I am convinced that only the BBB suit convinced them to finally own up.

We appoligize for the delay. We had to varify that we received, the Cooling system back from Mr Sadowski. After it was received and tested, the Refund was implemented. Mr Sadowski received his full refund on July 24/2014. We are attaching supporting doccuments.

 

The Better Business Case was closed, as they were also informed of the refund with supporting doccuments.
