It took Argosy University a grusome three week process to withdraw me from class. I wanted to withdraw because I was not properly graded (from a website instead from the classroom regulations).  I could not get someone to assist me in the process for several days and then I find out that my advisor is out of office.

I finally spoke with someone who I thought was going to withdraw me but instead threaten me with probation if I did withdraw.  I was e-mailed and called twice daily on why I should not withdraw.  It was not until I contacted the financial aid officer in which I stated "I am begging for a withdraw" that I was finally withdrawn from the school completely. This is the only person who I thank for contacting the advisory staff at Argosy for withdrawing me. With all the hassle I am forced to pay the bill for the term and have a "W" on my transcript.

Argosy Scam

#2General Comment

Sounds familar, hun.  Argosy is a scam artist.  That is why there is already 5-6 posts about them on here.  They are a for-profit college...that's main focus is making money.  They are a business, not what most people would consider a reputable "university."  I use that term loosely, b/c they have not lived up to their end of the bargain.

What is probably going on in your situation is they are making you pay back what are called Title IV funds, because you have Withdrawn.  Count your lucky stars that you are not over $60,000 in debt with them b/c of taking 45 in one of their Master's program (that is what I owe - and no diploma to show for it).  Try to pay it back slowly when/if you can.  Maybe they will work with you on the amt. of payment?

But, as I said...Argosy is a rip-off.  They only care about Money...not Students.  Glad you were smart enough to get out while you could!  Thank the Lord for that as a blessing.

Sorry you had to find out the hard way...and hope you find a worthwhile university to pursue your educational goals in the future.  Best wishes.
