We took out a loan and  bought a used van here on 10/31/16 because the used truck we had had for 11 years finally stopped working. I am a nurse, my husband also works full time and we have an autistic son that we need to be able to get to therapy twice a week so we needed a working vehicle.

Within the first week and a half we brought it back in 3 times because it was not going into gear at times while driving. The dealership said they checked it out twice and drove it around another time and said that everything was fine. By 11/14 the van was inoperable. It would not go into gear at all.

I called the dealership on 11/15 and the owner said that he could not do anything since the 15 day warranty had passed and that they would not be able to fix it there.  We had it towed to a reputable Honda garage who told us that the transmission needs replacing, rack and pinion is leaking, oil pump housing is leaking, power steering pump is leaking, power steering pressure hose leaking at connection, timing belt needs replacing, right inner CV boot is torn, all motor mounts need to be replaced. $8, 266,00 to fix it and $3,815 just for the transmission. We had gotten an extended warranty for $1,500 but cannot afford to pay the rest to fix this vehicle.

The garage told us that this car was sold to us with an obviously bad transmission and that they would have know that from the 3 times we brought it back to them within the warranty period when it was not going into gear, the garage said that they were clearly trying to string us along without fixing it until the 15 day warranty passed.

When we told the owner about the problem he said " It's your baby now" and that there was nothing he could do. We are now stuck with a car that we cannot afford to fix, paying on the loan we took out for it, my husband has missed quite a few days of work and my son has missed 2 months of therapy.

They called us in today and said they would take it in as a "trade in" not at full price since it is our used car now,  and we could take out another loan for a van more than double the price of the one we bought. This is fraud. Do not trust this business.
