During the Goodwin Fire evacuation and pre-evacuation, myself (a single mother) and my two daughters evacuated our home and sought shelter at the Arizona Inn. We have one cat and one dog. We were under the impression this motel was pet friendly, since there were signs up all over saying "keep this motel pretty friendly and pick up after your pets." After paying $87+for a one night stay, this motel charged our account with an additional $150 for having our cat and dog with us. I called and pleaded with them as to why they charged us this extra fee and they claimed there was cat dander on the bed. They have no concern with the safety of all the people that are in need for shelter during this scary time. I would just like everyone in the area to be aware of this company ripping off people that are already having a traumatic experience with this uncontrolled fire. Please let everyone know about this company ripping off people that have evacuated this fire.
