The Arizona Board of Nursing , discipline process is "all over the place" . The AZBN gives discipline to nurses (sometimes with NO violation of the nurse practice act !) to protect hospitals. They go by what hospital filed the report and file charges accordingly. A nurse who writes emails to a former dating partner gets her license revoked. While a male who is ON THE JOB , at Banner, makes these remarks about patients , and sexual remarks about woman , while undressing geta a degree of censure! The AZBN seems to do a full investigation , if they are 'after you" want to silence a nurse speaking up!!! Other wise they give a slap on the hand! would you want THIS person to be YOUR nurse????

comments while patient have colonoscopy. "makes me want to have sex with my wife "

obese woman undressing "i wont be able to get it up for a week after seeing that !"

A male secretary leaves the room , the comment is 'obscene and cursing , in the room in front on patients .

Banner and the Board of Nursing work very well together, if they want the nurse to be taken down the board does it ,if they still work there , slap on the hand !

I find so unusual that there is so many of these complaints throughout the local community in Phoenix and it is business as usual. I do personally know and conclusively would support this statement. The flip side I just can not figure how the state administration allows this continue. Thats when it hits me, Remember Joe Arpaio. Abuse is routinely ignored in Arizona.
