I met Cathie Knell IN PERSON to pay her for a puppy that was supposed to be delivered a week later. Excuse after excuse as to why I could not get my puppy....weather was bad in the Show Low area and that is where the co-breeder is located and where the puppy is coming from. I was promised the puppy a week later....now the puppy is not ready to be delivered because the co-breeder wants to make sure the dog is eating properly....again, I was promised the puppy yet another week later.
Keep in mind, I never got an update from Cathie as to when I would get my puppy unless I EMAILED her demanding a response. I was then told I would not be able to get the puppy until 12/31...I paid Cathie on 12/4/07.
I was told on 12/31 when I emailed Cathie to confirm our meeting to pick up the puppy that the puppy had eating problems, had to go to the vet and was on antibiotics for 10 days...Cathie told me that I could wait the 10 days and then get the puppy or get a refund. Of couse I wanted a refund after the run around I had been given for several weeks. I filled out the refund form, emailed it to her and she stated she sent it to the co-breeder for me to get my money back. Should take about 2 weeks for the refund according to the form I filled out....
I have emailed and emailed and called and called but no response from Cathie Knell.....Shocking! I basically paid her money so she could go Christmas shopping because I didn't get a dog and I still dont' have my money. Oh, and the refund is supposed to come in the form of a check. I'm sure if I EVER get my check sent to me it will be a bad check just like the many others that apparently Bill and Cathie Knell have written out.
Now their website states that they don't have any puppies to sell because there are not enough breeders that want to participate in the co-op......how convenient!
FRAUD, SCAM, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Boone County William Knell, 55, whom police say has a history of leaving his children in deplorable conditions, is to be tried May 9 on 10 counts of child neglect. Knells wife, Catherine Knell, 47, had also faced 10 child neglect charges, but accepted a plea agreement on Feb. 4. Mrs. Knell, who gave police a Brownsburg address, received 1-1/2-year suspended sentences for three of the counts, 1 1/2 years suspended on another count, and two years probation. She had spent 90 days in the Boone County Jail, where she was held on $10,000 bond, after her Oct. 14 arrest.
The charges cover periods beginning in May 2008 and ending on Sept. 1, 2010. Testimony by Jenny Essex and Sarah Middendorf, both of the Indiana Department of Child Services, and Lebanon Police Dept. Det.-Capt. Maurice Hobson on Oct. 25 last year revealed the Knell home at 1610 Ashley Drive was layered in filth, overrun by cockroaches, with rotting food in the refrigerator, bathrooms and bedrooms, and toilets filled with feces. I also received a Bad check from Bill Knell,
I reported it Maricopa County, Arizona Attorney, Bad Check Writers They did nothing for me.
Said no one else has reported receiving bad checks from Bill Knell.
Have all you breeders reported this ? the nsf checks received ?
If everyone reports this guy, maybe the LAW will do something ...

thats because the knells are rip off artists and they do not pay the breeder for the pup until the day they pick it up, most of us (victimized breeders) have been paid with bad checks and never have been able to collect on them..... so sorry to hear that yet another person has been taken by the KNELLS. you met them in person right? hmmmmm.... how pathetic huh?

Omg I can not believe you gave them your money in person and they still ripped you off ! You are proably right she went Christmas Shopping,
while you are sitting at home waiting for your Sweet little Puppy.
They told you the same old stories they have told hundreds of people, including
myself !
Well, Bill told me if I pay by money gram , he would give me a discount on the puppy, so I did, I am rich, could not really afford it, but I saved it for a puppy that I do not have. I never got the puppy and never received my money back.
Turns out about 7mths later he mails me a CHECK, of course it was returned nsf
I turned it into the Check Enforcement Agency in his county. Have not received my money yet.
I know I have read from many people who have sued him and her in court to get their money, even a lady from Canada had to sue him to get her money unreal !!
These people are real crooks.
I just googled his name...interesting...Looks like he is busy..making alot of money
proably from our money..some of it ..and some of everybody elses ...
He is involved in a little bit of everything.
Looks like he has plenty of money...just look at this website!
