On 9-13-10 I called ARS for a repair to my a/c system. When they arrived they installed a capacitor for $307.05. The technician said this capacitor was too large for my system, but it would work fine. As soon as he left, my system blew and knocked out the power. My husband called him to advise and he said we would have to replace the compressor now and that would cost +$1700.00. We did not have that much money, so I called the ARS office and requested a return for the part that they had installed (erroneously) and that I obviously could not use in my system. I was told only Larry Swafford could authorize that and he was not in the office. I left a message on his voice mail, but he did not return the call. I called again on 10-7-10. I was again told by both Cynthia & Homer that Larry would have to authorize that. I again left a message on his voice mail. On 10-12-10 Larry Swafford returned my call. He advised I could not get a refund because the part was now a "used part".
