Complaint Review: Arsene-Lee Advertising - Cydcor - The Advertising Group

I recently responded to an email from a Jane Moore of The Advertising Group (T.A.G.) inviting me to call and schedule an interview based on my resume which I assume had been obtained via Monster.com.

As a recent college grad I was still naive to MLM firms and after completing minimal research about T.A.G., decided that the company seemed legit. I attended my initial interview with a Randy Bernard, owner of Arsene-Lee Advertising in San Francisco. I was kept in a waiting room with another half-dozen applicants with loud pulsating music and a receptionist who answered the phone, "Marketing?," rather than use the company's name in her answer phrase. Odd.

My interview lasted maybe 30 minutes and I knew right off the bat that Randy was a total con-artist. He dodged any legitimate questions I posed, discounted my concerns about compensation and was quick to set up a second all day interview. Also important to note: no Jane Moore seemed to be affiliated with the office.

Immediately after the first interview, I expanded my research of Arsene-Lee and came across Cydcor. What a joke! Needless to say, I did not appear for my second interview, a.k.a. "The Day of Observation," as I was advised to wear comfortable shoes.

My main issue with this company is it's false portrayal on valid jobsites, such as Monster or Craig's List. Has anyone else in the Bay Area come across this organization? If not, please steer clear. Unless, of course, you went to college to walk door-to-door to earn a living.
