I signed a contract with this company that stipulated the time the DJ was to show up, and what music was to be played. I contacted Mr. Thomas 5 or 6 times to ensure he knew how to get to the location of the event, what music I wanted played, and ensured he recieved my (required) deposit of $200.

I have a fax confirmation with the contract, and verified it via phone. I also had an oral agreement with him that confirmed the written contract. He stated the DJ would be there at 6:30PM and would only play oldies music (the name in the yellow pages is "Play What You Say"). The DJ showed up 1 and 1/2 hours late, and did not begin playing music until 8:15PM. This ruined my event, and cost me money when I consider all the costs (for instance the dance floor). Additionally, my guests payed $25 to attend per person...and the advertisement i put out said there would be dancing and music.

Also, once the DJ showed up, he did not play "oldies" music...he played Frank Sinatra and 1980's music ("Sweet Dreams are Made of This"). I noticed that over 50% of the DJ's music was pirated...recorded on blank CD's titled in permanent marker. Mr. Thomas also told me over the phone he had a huge selection of oldies music...but this was not the case...and the DJ did not even know what he had and did not have as many of his CD's were simply labeled "Mixed Music." Because Mr. Thomas' company is in breach of contract, i contacted him and told him i wanted my deposit of $200 back.

The service I recieved was completely unacceptable...i rcvd many complaints at the event, and the final product was completely worthless. I also went to the reference page on Mr. thomas' website, and called a couple references. One refused to talk to me and said he will not answer any questions regarding the company, and the other said he had never heard of the company.
