Let me start by saying not everyone in this store is rude. One employee (Nelda Filipovitch) was very polite and tried to help but was overruled by the store manager.

I exchanged a mattress for another mattress and had a $1004.88 credit that per their policy had to be used in their store (No Cash Refund) I was mislead when the mattress was purchased to believe any exchange that was resulted in a price difference would be credited to my Art Van credit card but that wasn't the case, only an instore credit is given.

Also when the matress was returned the sales person Michael "Mario" Calabrese tried to short me $259 by not giving me the full credit of $1034. But I had already did my due diligence to know what the exact credit should have been.

I didn't want to use the same sales person but was told I must use him cause he is the one who sold me the mattress and to exchange it he must process the exchange and any new items I was purchasing. Any that not all sales people can sell matresses and furniture (Couches etc..) So we ordered a couch and two chairs with our $1004.88 credit. This was a special order cause the couch, chairs and pillows werent in stock. So after waiting 4 weeks our order came in and the couch is the wrong color.

Due to our earlier issues with this salesperson  I had a feeling something with our couch and/or chairs would be wrong. And indeed it was. The couch he ordered was the wrong color and now they want me to pay 25% restocking fee to exchange our couch for the right color.

It isn't plausible to make a consumer pay a 25% restocking fee for a mistake that a salesperson makes. The salesperson is infallible? What happened to the times when the customer is always right and companies took care of their customers especially when the company was at fault?

Something that could have been avoided by ArtVan has caused us hours of our time, loss of sleep, an enormous amount of stress and has created a dissension in my marriage.
