ARTO Advantage Rent To Own Richard Friedberg Richard Friedburg Took 16K Franchise Fee and Kept No Promises - No Leads - No Investors - No Substance Phoenix Arizona
I thought I was a applying for a job (Craigslist). Pretty soon I was putting a SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR check in the mail. Yes, Richard Friedberg is that convincing. I thought I was buying leads for investors who would want to rent-to-own their homes and I thought I was buying powerful advertising methods for securing tenants for those investors. I never received one lead. I never received one address for a vacant home in need of a tenant. I never received the name and phone number of even one investor. I was always told to come up with the qualified tenants first and then the investor would be provided. So I was supposed to advertise homes for rent/purchase that did not even exist - make stuff up and advertise it on Craigslist!
Supposedly I was given a 100% guarantee (and I was!) but this was not honored when I requested my "franchise fee" back. They kept my money.
The rules changed quickly even though I had made sure the contract spelled things out clearly. Within a week or so of getting my money, they told me I would have to buy the promised leads from a telemarketing company they had hooked up with. Originally they claimed to have an active telemarking arm of their own. I feel that I threw away sixteen thousand precious hard earned dollars and have nothing but regret to show for it.
