I purchased a motor from asap motors for my 87 starion. A couple of days after receiving it, I was about to bolt on my exhaust manifold, when I decided to pull the valve cover and take a look.



Upon inspecting I found plastic like deposits scattered throughout the motor, I suspect from timing guides. Some where decent sized deposits and some were fine ground with the oil. I called ASAP, they said they would have someone to pick up the motor. It took about a week of constant phone calls to finally get them to pick it up. They then received the motor and when (I had to call) talked to them, they said the motor was "clean as can be". And that they had no idea what I was talking about.

They did not see anything, I sent them pictures and they said that they could only see one deposit and it wasnt a big deal. I want my full refund and they gave me the 20% restocking fee pitch or since there "mechanics" inspected the motor and it was good, they could just resend it for free. After I told them I wanted my full refund, I was handeled very unkindly, left on hold for upnear 45 minutes, then when they would finally pick up they had no clue to what I was on hold for, hung up on twice, told I was "full of s**t", and told by the head manager Dina that maybe I just wanted my money back.

I have a starion that hasnt run in 5 months, I want it back on the road. I had thought I'd shopped around well enough, but apparently not. Do Not Use This Company!!!! You will be filling out one of these if you do.
