Received  an Xerox copy of an email via USPS with a "certified" check in the amount of $1680 as part of performing my "First Mystery Shopper Assignment.

I was instructed to deposit/cash said check at my bank and to then go to  a Western Union facility and wire $1350 to a Nery Horn in Sugar Land Texas.  My commission was to be $200 plus $130 to cover wire fees.  While performaing said task I was to rate the services of said Western Union by answer several questions and submitting said results to: mrdennis.hunt15@gmail.com

What cought my attention was that the letterhead of the email (AIS Market Research, Inc) did not match the name cited in the text of email (Nucleus Research) and that person that sent me the check was in Fort Worth, TX, but the company was based in New York.  In addition I was to wire the mony to a Nery Hern in Sugar Land, TX.

The "casher" check was issued by the Fairmont Federal Credit Union in West Virgina.  I called them to verify if the check was bogus as suspected and they advised me that it was a counterfit check.  Apparently this had being going on since Oct - Nov 13, but stopped until this month again.

The contact person for this scam is:

Mr. Dennis Beckett

Thank you so much for this!!  I have been contacted numerous times within the past couple of weeks by this Dennis Beckett individual and was actually thinking of accepting this "job offer", something told me to do my research and I am so glad that I did.  I wonder if I could file a police report? I would love to do this, if only to put a warning out there.  I live in a small town w/a lot of elderly and retired folks and I would hate for one of them to fall victim to this jacka**!

Thanks Again!
