ASC Mortgage Called, said I was late with my loan, tried to get me to admit that I was in default on loan. ripoff Baltimore Maryland
I have made my payments every month and have paid extra every month. I received a call this month from a girl who told me my loan was in default and I was delinquent in my payment. She called on the 6th of June about my payment for June 1. I had not mailed it yet, but she tried to get me to admit on the phone (after telling me the conversation was being recorded and they were attempting to collect a debt) that my loan was in default. I have been sending my payments early in the month, the 3rd or 4th, but they never post to my account until the 14th of the month.
I live in Ohio, and the address for the payments is in Baltimore, MD. I know it does not take 10 days or more to get there.
She also told me if I mailed the payment today June 6th, it would not get there until the 20th and I would owe a late charge of $29.99. She then asked me if I was selling the house. I told her that was none of her business.
