Ascentive, Ascentive, SpeedScan Pro, Finally Fast THEY SHOULD BE SUED, THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!! RUINED MY COMPUTER!!! Cleveland Internet
I assumed if they were advertised on television, they were a reputable software company. I thought wrong!
The only thing this software did was embed itself into my hard drive, it is virtually impossible to remove, it slowed my computer down; if not completely shut it down, my computer didn't work for two weeks after downloading their (free) trial.
Now, every time I turn on my p.c., there they are, stalking me. Saying that I need to re-install the software that I am so desperately trying to remove from my list of programs and it has grown like a fungus refusing to leave.
I guess they were mad at me for not giving them my credit card number.

...known for its spyware, adware, and trojans, and insinuates itself most cleverly. You can find reliable means (by reputable developers) for ridding your PC of this garbage. Do your research; protect yourself (and your PC).

How to get rid of the Scam Ascentive software trojan

First, this is a scam company, they want to force you to buy their "fix".
You must download Adaware, anniversary edition, update and run it at least once per week.
Another good program is SpyBot S & D, (Search & Destroy)- update and run it once per week or when ever you feel the need.
Another very good program is Spyware Blaster, latest version. Update this one at least once per week. This one run in the back ground all the time,
The first two programs are good to run to get the Ascentive Crap off your computer. just follow the instructions and prompts.
The third program is good for warning you that something is trying to insert or delete things in your computer registry. When you are installing a program, Spyware Blaster pops up and asks you if you want to ALLOW or BLOCK an impending entry or deletion in the registry. If it is something you want, you ALLOW it, You DENY or Block it if you don't want.
I hope this helps you, Charlie
