Complaint Review: ASF International

I joined a local gym, the scumbag salesman and I got into an office to discuss prices and payment details. He stated that they only work through "ASF International" as if I was supposed to know who they are.

He also mentioned that the contract term is a minimum of 12 months, but if something happened (moved out of town, became injured or ill, etc.) they'd be reasonable enough to modify/cancel the contract.

Oh surprise, after 6-7 months I am moving 600 miles. Spoke with the dirtbag at the gym and all he had to say was "you have to talk with ASF" very well then. I sent the cancellation form to ASF and after 3 weeks (yeah! time=money baby!) they replied with a letter saying that its all-good, but they needed an utility bill or a newly issued drivers license of the state I was moving to, so I MAILED BOTH just in case.

3 weeks after that (time=money for these crooks) I recieved a letter in which they explain that they are "sympathetic to the reasons stated" but they can't find that in the RETAIL SALES CONTRACT I SIGNED as valid reasons (Not ture, the contract reads that even moving 25 miles away is enough reason to cancel the membership).

It is important to mention that ASF International charges your bank account every month in advance, so if something does come up, they aint waiting for your check, they just debit the money. SO EVEN IF YOU CALL THE BANK TO REPORT THE SECTION E FRAUD, YOUR CREDIT REPORT GETS DAMAGED BY THESE SCUMS.

I'm not rich, but I make a decent living and I won't die because of the $400-500 rip-off. But I wont let these guys get away with these, I am willing to team up with anyone starting a CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT against ASF International.
