ASFBS Financial Corporation/Don Steward, Claim Specialist scammed me by saying I won $57,000.00. Must send $3,977.65 to pay taxes. Gainesville Florida
I received a letter stating that I had won $57,000.00 from the Readers Digerst, Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. Enclosed with the letter was a check for $3,977.65 which was to cover administrative and clearance fees of the winnings (taxes). I was then told to deposit the check which I did.
Later I was told I had to Western Union the deposited amount to Sandra Smith, 2943 Parkview Str., New York, NY 11284. This was also done. I was then told after making a Saturday 9:00 a.m. appointment to receive the money, that the delivery truck was lost. I waited for 3 hours, but no one showed up. I kept calling the number, but they hung up on me.
