Complaint Review: Asher Maman

Asher Maman, who lives between Woodbridge, CT NY. NY and France buys and sells properties for rehab and flipping.  He signed a legal contract with us for $2000.  We completed the work to his satisfaction but he insisted we take $1800.  Sensing he was very untrustworthy we took it.  He stopped payment on the check.  I tracked him down and he claimed he lost the check book and had to cancel all checks in the book for security purposes.  OK I said, give me the money plus a $50 bounced check fee.  He just got inot his car and drove away.  I went to the Woodbridge police Dept and between the PD and the Tpwn Hall discovered this is his Modus Operandi.  I have leined his property for the Original full amount, as that is the contractual agreement, plus $50 check fee, plus max interest allowed by law.  He WILL BE ARRESTED either way.  This incident occured in August 2009, it is not July 2010.
