I contacted this attorney months ago because she had responded to a question I had on Avvo.com. I left my contact information with her after visiting her website and requesting a phone consultation. When she called me she immediately seemed to be confused because I had an out-of-state telephone number (as if everyone living in Georgia should have a Georgia telephone number). I briefly explained my issue to her while she assumed she already knew what it was. At one point I had mentioned to her that I had a Section 8 voucher previously  and she wanted to hang up right then and there before trying to think of who she could refer me to. When I asked if she was not interested in my case simply because I had a Section 8 voucher, she was like "Oh no no, I help people all the time from ALL backgrounds".

She had promised to call me the following Monday. By Monday evening I had not heard from her so I decided to email her. She responded with a lonnnngggg drawn out message indicating how much it would cost to look into my case and to have another consultation with her to explain the law in detail. This was her way of saying she was not interested and the ONLY reason she decided to do this was because I had offended her with the question about helping a person who simply had a Section 8 voucher.

Just goes to show you how people are quick to discriminate against a person due to their prior financial status. The funny thing is I am employed and no longer have a Section 8 voucher and I didn't even have one at the time that I spoke with this attorney.

I was able to locate an attorney who helped me from beginning to end and took care of my issue within 30 days. Would not recommend this dry personality broad.

I pointed myself in the right direction. There were 0 referrals from you or your office on how to proceed. You clearly were not interested in looking further into my case and you made that known early on. Anyway, it doesn't matter now because it has been taken care of to my satisfaction. The attorney I hired had no restrictions and was glad to help.

This consumer was clearly very upset and was looking for help. The law firm does not take cases involving section 8 complaints as we have no experience and do not practice in that area. Any communication from the law firm to the consumer about the cost of a case would only have been in the context of finding an outside attorney to refer the consumer to. We are glad that this consumer found an attorney and was able to get a positive outcome. We would surmise that the positive outcome may have come about in part due to our office pointing her in the right direction. We wish her luck in the future.
