I ordered a dining room table with 4 chairs on 08/06/2005. On delivery 09/19/2005 the table was damaged on one corner. The table has two scratches on the table.

Two of the 4 chairs are damaged or made incorrectly. 1st chair is not level, one leg is about a 1/4 inch shorter than the other. The support brackets are not properly installed onto the supporting legs. The brackets are bent, they are not flush with the legs. Due to these brackets impropoerly installed I believe that is why the chair is not level.

The 2nd chair has a missing end cap on one of the legs. It is a decorative piece that is missing. I am presently waiting for a response back from Ashley Furniture store to resolve my issues 9/21/05.

Finally as of 1/5/06 my replacement table and 2 chairs have arrived. They are in good condition and I accepted them with no issues. This finally concludes my ordeal with the damaged products that were originally delivered. Note: originally the company was going to repair my items and at the end of December 2005 the replacement parts arrived. When the delivery service dropped off the table and 2 chairs they said they couldn't take the ordered replacement parts, so I have extra parts lying around. I do not need or want them; I don't understand why they did not take them. It is their loss to order and leave parts with the customer. What am I going to do with them?????

It took several months and plenty of my time to get the items replaced with contacting the service dept, going back into the store and having to be at home for another delivery.

I am happy and satisfied the table and 2 chairs were replaced.

Update as of 12/4/05 6:00pm. I was contacted by Ashley Furniture customer support and they told me they would replace my two damaged chairs and my table. Again I have to wait an additional 4 to 6 weeks delivery for these items (not an issue if they are in good condition). Will wait and see what shape these items arrive in.

Update as of 12/3/05. Still nothing accomplished with customer service dept. I went into the store I purchased the table and spoke with the manager (Renee. She wanted to send a tech. out to my house to verify the damage which was confirmed and we even found more damage. One of the table legs has a crack about 18 inches long. A small scratch I found originaly on the side of the table goes the entire lenght of the table (side). Waiting to hear back from manager (Renee) to see what she is going to do about the issues.

As of 9/21/05 I was contacted by Ashley Furniture customer service. They are ordering me replacement parts that will be sent to my house. I am getting a drop leaf for the table top and 3 hinges, and several legs to replace the damaged legs on my chairs/barstools. After I receive the parts I am to call customer service back to make arrangements to have someone sent out to repair my furniture.

Will wait to see what happens from here.
