Ashley Furniture Company poor quality product and service Ripoff North Richland Hills Texas
Ashley had tried to push 3 poorly constructed $2000.00 china cabinets off on us. Each time the attitude from customer service had been, why did you refuse acceptance. The first piece they sent was so bad that an Ashley furniture technician concluded that the piece was beyond repair. The second piece was so bad we wouldn't even let it off the truck. A manager supposedly inspected the third piece personally before it was shipped to us. But before the movers took it off the truck we noticed several deep scratches and defects which we decided to photograph if there was any dispute as to it's condition on arrival. On or about 05/15/06 a fourth piece arrived in a state where many adjustments were necessary to the doors and finish but could be made so we decided to keep it. Three weeks later a technician arrived and was able to repair or adjust most of the problems, but a part would have to be ordered. A month later I called to see what was happening. I was told it may be till August before the part would be in. This experience with Ashley Furniture had been going on since February 19th and it was now the first of July. At no time did anyone from Ashley call to check on my level of satisfaction. It wasn't until I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and put my bill into dispute that a technician showed up with the parts. Typical of Ashley quality he showed up with three duplicate parts, two of which were bad.
