I bought a mattress from Ashley Furniture in Plano in January, 2008, and was extremely disappointed in the costumer service that I received after the sale was made.

I was called with a delivery date and time, which was different than the time they told me in the store when I bought the mattress. I was not able to be home, and requested a new delivery date. I was told by a very rude woman that I would be charged $100 if I was not there. She argued with me that the mattress set had already been set up for delivery. I asked her if changing the delivery date would result in a charge for that and she stated "no".

When I finally was called to set up another delivery date, I was told that there would be a $75 charge for changing the delivery date.

I protested that they had told me there would be no charge and after putting me on hold, she finally came back and said that they would waive the charge "this time but I had better not do this again". Believe me, there will never be a "next time" as I will take my business elsewhere.
