Ashley Home Furniture Store bought $30K of furniture and they did not honor their warranty Syracuse New York
I was SOLD A BUNCH OF BS From Ashley Home Furniture Store in Camillus, NY
I spent over $30,000 on furniture from Ashley Homestore in Camillus furnishing my entire house - 4 bedrooms,
multile living rooms, dininig room, etc. A LOT OF FURNITURE !!! $30K PLUS!!!!!
They even gave me a BOTTLE of CHAMPAGNE THE DAY I FINIALIZED THE PURCHASE and wished me well in my "new business" - the B&B!
We worked with them for OVER 1 MONTH - telling them we were furninshing our home where we LIVE and we operate a B&B !
WE WERE VERY UP FRONT ABOUT OUR BUSINESS.......the B&B !! We never hid a thing from anyone!
I Purchased multiple very high-end bedroom sets & Within 6 months the furniture began to literally Chip & Flake!!! BASICALLY THE FURNITURE IS NOT SOLID WOOD - it has veneer like finishes, etc.....and it began to FALL APART in LESS than 6 MONTHS.
We attempted to utilize the 3rd party warranty we were SOLD to get someone out to look at the furniture and hopefully fix the issues.
They would not back up the problems even though it clearly states "chipping and flaking" is covered in the Warranty!!! Since I had multiple pieces chipping I was told this was "ABNORMAL USE" !!! OMG!!! REALLY !!! HOW ABOUT ITS YOUR CHEAP IMITATION WOOD FURNITURE FALLING APART!!!
Ashley Homestore would ALSO NOT DO ANYTHING and said it was out of their hands. Then they proceeded to tell me they do not cover anythng unless it was purchased for just residental use. You would think that in the ONE MONTH OF CONSTANT COMMUNICATION PRIOR TO FINALIZING THE PURCHASE THAT THEY WOULD TELL ME THAT THE WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY TO A B&B !!!! But that was "NEVER EVER" DISCLOSED!!!
NOT ONE THING WAS EVER SAID ABOUT THE WARRANTY NOT BEING IF WE UTILIZE OUR PRIMARY RESIDENCE AS A B&B !!!! IN FACT - they bragged about how good their warranty was....no problems EVER!!!
IT SIMPLY DOES NOT MATTER THAT THIS IS MY PRIMARY HOUSE WHERE I LIVE + SLEEP.....SO THEY SOLD ME A WARRANTY.....THAT WAS USELESS!
How does ANYONE actually get a Warranty "SOLD" to them from the Ashley Furniture Store in Camillus, NY (YES - I paid CASH for it !!! ) and then when there is an issue with the furniture, you get it totally revoked in less than 6 months time...because they now tell me they wont stand behind anything due to "my house is a B&B" !! BOY OH BOY, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO KNOW BEFORE I PURCHASED $30K worth of furniture - don't you think !!?? THIS WAS NEVER EVER DISCLOSED !!!!!
Would you buy a NEW $30K CAR WITHOUT A WARRANTY ???? DEFINITELY NOT !!!! So I was literally sold a bunch of crap!
THEY STUCK ME WITH $30K worth of CRUMBLING/CHIPPING/FLAKING FURNITURE THAT I HAVE NO RECOURSE OVER....NO ONE WILL REPAIR OR FIX THE FLAKING, CHIPPING FURNITURE and I am out $30K!
The finish is literally falling off in places that NO HUMAN HANDS HAVE EVEN TOUCHED - so its definitely not from MIS-USE! And especially in 6 months time and multiple pieces of furniture. The finish just seems to flake off naturally.
JUST 6 MONTHS OLD AND THEY COMPLETELY WASHED THEIR HANDS OF ANY ISSUES!
I would advise steering clear of this Ashley Home Furniture Store in Camillus, NY as you will get a bunch of BS on their warranty (how great it is) when in fact, after you walk out you will have zero coverage. NADA!!
I spent more than $30K so it was not like I just purchased a single chair.....I did my whole house and they left me stranded with chipping and flaking furniture.....they do not back up anything they tell you! They have a Great Sales Pitch!!! BUT IN REALITY IT IS BS!! $30K down the drain!!! They refuse to do anything about it!
