Ashley Shippy Ashley Shippy- Deceptive Billing Practices- FRAUD Plover WI
I hired Ashley Shippy via Upwork to provide various administrative services for my company. Per Ms. Shippy's contract with Upwork, she was to login to a time tracker for all work hours billed to my account. After delivering low quality and low volume work, she attempted to "manually" bill (in Upwork parlance) for several hours for which she could not substantiate that she worked.
When I refused to be extorted into paying for incomplete, error-prone work, she filed numerous slanderous and false reviews not only against me personally, but also against my company ONLY AFTER she harrassed several of my employees with her lies and deceit.
I would strongly advise against employing Ashley Shippy either as an employee or freelancer, since my own experience with her tells me she clearly lacks the work ethic and technical ability to deliver quality work, not to mention her lack of moral integrity.

My freelancing history as of May 2021 includes over $10,000 earned, 33 jobs hired for, and 554 hours worked. I"m rated Top Rated, and have a 100% job success rating score. I have been doing freelancing work since 2018. (See Profile Snapshot image).
Matthew never mentioned poor, or low work at all during our short time together. (see message re: great work!) Come time to pay, he locked me out of the company's email he provided for me, and removed me from project boards, and never responded again. (see email sent to Matthew re: Red Flags)
Matthew's history as of May 2021 includes his company having (8) 1-star reviews on Google Review, 3 Glassdoor company reviews mentioning him not paying freelancers, and stealing work from 2018, 2019, and 2021. (see screenshots from Google & Glassdoor)
He has emailed me threatening legal action if I didn't remove my negative reviews, including calling me white trash, (see snippet from email he sent) and demanding that I sign an NDA (See snippet) where he wants me to acknowledge that (in his words)..... "I need to humble myself, and ... that I have learned from the error of my ways, and in the future, it is my fondest wish to make myself a less “(offensive word)*-y”, better person." In my opinion, these are not words from a professional individual.

My purpose in sharing my experience with Matthew May/Intellitek Systems, Inc has been to alert all those who may be "hired" by him. He ran off with the $1,000 worth of work I submitted to him, and never paid., and am not the only one this has happened to. I have spoken to many other freelancers who worked with Matthew who has said the same thing - that he stole the work they did, and never paid. He's claiming I fraudulently billed him when the freelancing platform app tracker shows otherwise.
