Ashton-Drake sells Specialty Dolls mostly for collectors. I have ordered several dolls from them directly over the years without an issue: purchased item and same doll arrived as imaged online. This recent purchase of #5 dolls included two dolls of Obama and wife Michele. The image of these dolls was quite extraordinarily lifelike. When I placed the order I was asked if I wanted some additional photograph and I said "no." I wrote several emails to the company to ascertain that the "portrait" quality was not indeed a photographic image pasted-on a resin doll. No reply from company.
The dolls are nothing like their online representations: they are clunky and inelegant without any likeness to the images displayed on the website.
This is false advertising at its worst.
