Ashworth College False and misleading web advertising on student support services ripoff Norcross Georgia
I am currently enrolled in Ashworth College's CIM course. That's Computer Information Management. I am having problems with their student services. I should say lack of student services and support. Even though they advertise a prompt and detailed response from student services, this is hardly the case. That is false and misleading advertising on their part.
I had a question on my last course in the second semester. It was on subnetting in the LAN book. I sent Ashworth a list of only 3 questions about this course. In particular,I am certain that one of their subnetting questions on the achievment exam is wrong. I explained why I felt this was so, and how I came to my answer. The initial response from them was the answer is in the book at page # XXX. This is hardly a detailed response!
I asked for an explanation of why my answers were wrong. All I received was a look in the book answer. Of course I already knew where to look in the book, but that didn't answer my question, and I needed more information. This is the second time I had asked Ashworth a question and the second time I received an answer like this from them.
I pressed for a more detailed answer and I still do not have a response from them, even though they initially responded that I would have a response soon. When I continually emailed them and asked "How soon" I was told 3 weeks.
That is hardly a prompt and detailed answer from their student services. The books are a bit outdated, but in Computers anything over 6 months is outdated. The books do arrive on time, and I have not have had any problems yet with their billing department.
I have a very high GPA , and finished the LAN course with a 94%, so this isn't sour grapes on my part. I just want them to be more responsive to student questions. Also, they have sent in their drones to the ashworth college yahoo groups ( there are about 4 different ones now) and if you complain about Ashworth to the list, you can generally expect the Ashworth drones to appear and attempt damage control.

Drones........what is going on?
As said before in a previous rebuttal:
"What a crock, the people have been supportive of you, are we reading the same posts?
They have offered their suggestions, as you were asking when you post on a PUBLIC forum!
You are not reading the post, but only galncing and reading what you want to hear.....negativism.
I thought Suzi & Monica have given you excellent advise. You seem very difficult to please."
If you don't want to read everyone's advice, don't post or ask for it!
I don't have a problem with your gripes about Ashworth, you have a legit problem. It is how you are ATTACKING people who have been doing nothing but try to help you......
Maybe you should go to a more tradional school, I don't think distant learning is for you.
